| Along with bass player Bobby McGee,
the legend that is Phil McGlassup forms part of a rhythm section that has now been playing together
for over 14 years. Phil is a man of simple tastes; rock 'n' roll, big fat greasy breakfasts served
all day, and lager. Plenty of it, served in nice cold glasses with condensation dripping off the
outside. Hang on, I'm off to the fridge....

Because Phil is normally hidden behind a drum kit,
a pile of empty pint glasses, or a stack of used Burger King packaging, photos of the great man
are few and far between. Phil's other claim to fame (apart from drumming, drinking and backing
vocals) is as a van driver extraordinaire, transporting the rest of us and assorted equipment to
and from gigs safely and on time. And the less said the better about the incident with the
low-flying ladder on the M3, and the time he reversed into the Anvil Theatre in Basingstoke
because he didn't see it in his mirror ...
